Was just wondering if any evo owners are due to renew insurance, mine's due next month but just checked up online....Best quote has been £800 from confused.com (26, 7 years no claims, clean licence, fully comp, no protected bonus, £250 excess)

What kinda prices have other people paid recently cause that's £400 higher than what I paid when I first got the car!

Car Insurance is all on the up... a pretty steep curve at that...

No kidding, best quote I found has been direct line £600, £660 with churchhill, £800 LV

I made a rage comment on facebook to which my friends are all replying £300+ hikes :/

Tempted to ring em up and tell them they've got my age wrong, I haven't paid this much for insurance since I was 19!

my insurance is due for renewal nxt month and the cheapest ive found is £353 (25, 2 year licence, 2 no years bonus, fully com, £150 excess) that was through confused.com.

last year when i had my grande punto, my cheapest was with aviva (who arent on those compared sites) so check with them and also direct line

xx

Mine is due next month. Paid £1k last March for my evo sporting which wasnt too bad considering my corsa was 15years old and that cost me £500.

I'm not too fussed what mine is providing its less than what i paid back then. I'll have a look this weekend when I get a chance. That reminds me, my tax runs out this month too and I'm due my first service :(

I dont like spending money :(

Mine is due up at the end of the month and Tesco wuoted me £364.22. Went online and the cheapest I could get was Directline who quoted £274. Tesco then reduced it (how nice of them) to £286 so will probably stay with them as I have been with them for a few years now.

My cheapest quote for mine in november was £750 but that was good for me seeing as i paid £1500 for my mini the year before!

£307. 25, 8 years claim free, 105 multiair. Only went up by £50 from last year. apparently everyones insurance has gone up this year so i expected it.

£630 with Admiral (quote)

Elephant sent me a renewal of £850 (paid £685 last year!!)

Admiral always quote me best and then i ring elephant (same company) and give them the Admiral quote number where they switch the price to match to keep me with Elephant!

My insurance went from £2500 - £1200 - £685 so for a best quote of £630 i was disappointed but m friends (with all different cars) have had the same disappointment!

Age: 21
Driving: 4yrs
NCB: 3yrs
No claims or convictions etc.

Adding parents as named drivers always helps me (while im young).

i paid, £680 for mine in september fully comp, 22, 5 years driving, 2 years ncb and my advanced motorist cert as woirk for ambulance service which doesnt help insurance as apparently i am willing to take 'RISKS' got a quote the other day for my 105 multiair and they would want £1300 but i have looked at admiral mulitcar combined for 2 cars is cheaper than my insurance alone.

My renewal came through on Friday and (last year I apparently paid 1.2k)

Renewal price this year was set at a whopping £3,400 for the year. After checking the documents... the accident I had a month after I got the car had me down as at fault. Rang Fiat insurance and told them this was not the case, and they rectified the mistake after reading over the case files and still, they came back with a figure of £1,600 so a lovely £400 increase.

My dad rang Adrian Flux for me as he is already with them, went through everything explaining my 3 points for speeding and the accident and they came back with a quote of £950 with the forum discount and I also got all the same benefits of the Fiat Insuance package and even Breakdown + Homestart cover.

Still a bit excessive I know but I'm still quite young and I dont mind paying it to drive around in my sexy beast of a car :)

That's pretty much the same as me (26/7 years) 105 multiair) but my best quote seems to be about £700 (Up from £430)

i've not moved house, i've not been speeding etc... I don't see how there justifying this rise >.<

Still waiting for my official renewal, surprised it hasn't come through yet, 10 days til insurance expires i think.

I think the insurance companies will be pushing the premiums up just now so that when this new ruling meaning that they cant automatically charge men more than women comes into affect they will simply be reducing men’s premiums back to the level it was previously at, and of course they then get to whack up women’s premiums for extra profit.
Win win for them!

I may take the lead! Renewed yesterday with Axa for £260 on my sporting.
I'm 36 with 8 year's NCD.
