Im going to take the car in to get this investigated but have found a way to develop a warning light on my Evo Sporting, Ive recently bought a new house with a VERY steep drive to the house if holding the car at the bite point the car then gives a "Check Engine" then "Stop Start Unavailable" this can then be cleared by pressing the Stop Start button that disconnects the system start the engine and its gone?!
Anyone had anything similiar?

One thing ive noticed is that the hillstart system works especially well :) Holds very well switching between 1st and reverse

I've had it happen once and my dealer sales manager told me to call him strauight away if it happened again.
Although I now get when its stopped I put my foot on the clutch to start it again it starts then beeps anmd flashes up ' press clutch' when my foot is already on the clutch???

Well believe it or not this issue just appeared on my Evo today, I have had this problem before not long after getting the car and it was supposedly fixed…. apparently it had been something to do with a sensor on the gearbox.
On phoning the dealer today to get it booked in and looked at I reminded them that the car had suffered from the same symptoms before, however they told me that these warnings will show up simply if there is a problem, it doesn’t necessarily mean it is the same issue.
Low and behold the problem disappeared just after I booked the car in but it should certainly be logged on the ECU so will hopefully see what the cause is on Monday.

Just got back from the Fiat garage and it was apparently the same issue as it had been the last time, the “neutral sensor” needing recalibrated. :(
When I reminded the garage that I had had this issue before, they checked and did confirm it was the same problem, unfortunately the Fiat website was “Down” so I am going to have to wait for them to be able to check if the part needs replaced, but they reckon it will.

In the mean time the error has been cleared and the cars working fine. (y)

Same problem as I have had twice, first time I got it reset by a dealer. This time it went away all on its own, I have already booked it in to get it looked at though. Will see what they say.;)
