Hi guys,

Has anyone with rubbing strips had issues with them bowing out from the door or falling off? Also at the end of the rubbing strip where the aluminium punto logo is, are anyone's letters peeling off?

I've just wrote another list of crap for fiat to fix this morning, don't know about you but I'm getting pretty fed up with taking it back. It's been back 6 times now, and again this weekend. :bang:

But youve still gotta love it haha :D
 
Dont go easy on the dealer kick up a real stink, I had my decals peel off along with a problem with water running alongside passenger side and make them aware its not acceptable and shouldnt be happening.
I dont mean going in effing and jeffing just make them fully aware of the situation and quite simply there should be these problems and make sure its all covered under warranty
 
I know, I've been too soft up to now!

I've just sent the manager a snotty email as she told me they will have to look at all the little issues before they can book it in to fix anything, which is another day off work for me :bang:

How they're still in business truly amazes me haha!
 
contact FIAT UK f your really not happy, they normally give the dealers a kick up the jaxie, 6 vistis for a new car is slightly mad, especially as you have to take time off work
 
The dealer fitter the rubbing strips as they couldnt get them on it from factory fit.

And the rest is just build quality :mad:

I think when the italian built my evo, he was half asleep haha :p
 
I have to admit the little thing has really grown on me, partly because apart from a squeaky clutch pedal it's been faultless.
 
Just got my evo back from fiat. They stuch part of the rubbing strip on with double sided foam tape which sticks out 3mm for the door and looks horrendous! On the other side they were replacing the logo plate from the rubbing strip, well they put a fu**ing screw driver down the side to pry it out and have cracked the paint and gauged the rubbing strip! Now the 'manager' is apparently calling me haha!

I am sick of this now and thinking of settleing the finance on the car, but don't know if I should try and complain aswell? I know someone said write to fiat UK, but will it really get me anywhere?

I collected my shiny new Punto Evo GP in the dark last night.

Went out to admire it this morning and the nearside factory fit black rubbing strip is coming off ! Also, some of the writing on the silver logo plate has come off !

A bit disappointing but I'm hoping the dealer will sort it, we also bought a new 500 a few months ago with body colour rubbing strips and they are perfect.

Apart from that I am delighted with it and glad I went for the style pack.

Technical Car starts from cold great but as soon as it hits 60c and revs drop it gets a misfire on no 1 and sometimes 1 + 2.
