They just seem shocking. I know people generally visit a forum more when something goes wrong than when it's all going fine, but there just seems to be problem after problem in the Grande Puntos section. Thankfully the Evo section seems to be better so far.

I think with the boot light, it should come on just from opening the boot. Maybe theyve not fitted or removed the bulb. Might be something done at the docks rather than the factory. Failing that, could they have put a light unit in the boot by mistake. I dunno if all Evos have boot lights, so maybe it should be a blank panel?

Grande's are getting older now tbh, i'm sure problems will dominate discussions, but yeah the Evo has only had 2 disasters so far which'd be MrBoney's headgasket problem (fixed) and mjt's deciding it likes oil rather than petrol (car replaced) - both storys i'd hope were just 1-hit wonders.

Only real problem Evo's have is cubby holes (might be fixed on 60s?) and misting lights on some which im not sure is a real problem or not atm.

Fiat assured me that my 'smoke problem' was most definitely a one off. So much so, they still have no idea what the hell happened!

As for the cubby hole issue, that was one of the first things I checked on my replacement GP and I have to say, so far, so VERY good. Fingers crossed it stays that way. AND, best of all, NO SMOKE (y)

Not had any misting in the light fittings so far, other than a bit in the registration plate lenses, but they aren't even visible. I only saw it when I checked the bulb from my boot in one of them to see if it was faulty as my boot light isn't functioning.

I've got abit of misting in rear lights + alittle in front lights, but the weather has been paticularly horrible recently so im not too worried, its due for its first service soon so when i take it in if im still getting misting i'll point it out & get all the minor problems sorted before the first years out.

I'm sure after the first year i'm going to start getting "This isnt covered by the 2nd year warranty..." lines :bang:
