I am at 6500 miles now and I have gone from 35mpg mixed driving to 40mpg with no change to driving style. I expect this to get even better after the first service.

Oddly I find the AC has no effect on MPG??

All back lanes on my route to work and I'm consistently getting 38mpg from my turbo which I can't moan about. It won't go lower than 11.3mpg on the instant consumption though?!

OK, running on the black stuff (standard, usually sainsburys) but here's my two-pence worth. After 6400 miles:
59.3mpg Derby to Minehead and back over Easter. What felt good tho was getting there and back on 1-tank with about 20% still left!
64mpg on a reaallly slow run up the M1 to Sheffield the other day hiding in the slipstream of a lorry (y)
It shows what can be done, but this isnt real for me. If I'm honest I'll average only 40-44mpg around town.

Have you tried doing a manual reset (hold the "trip" button on any screen that holds average data)?

Just to mix things up, i refilled with tesco "momentum 99" and it made no difference at all to my consumption, power, torque etc.

I'm considering a sporting and wonder if you guys can help.

I've driven a 105 multiair at 60-70 on a gentle run along the M3. This was during a test drive so was only a short run. The car was coasting along and not climbing a hill, and the average meter for mpg was 59-60 mpg. Great I thought!*

In the same conditions would that be possible on the sporting?

60-70 coasting along.... reset the average mpg meter... what do your cars tell you?*

I ask cause this is the driving I do most

Many thanks in advance.*
