The side repeaters are easy to change, you have to take it off to change the bulb anyway
Just not so easy when it’s caked in solid ice!
Having to endure temperatures of -9 during the daytime at the moment.
Haven’t been able to wash the car for nearly 3 weeks now, im beginning to suffer withdrawal symptoms Ahhhh

Hey Guys,

I really like that there are Evo owners modding already.

I am one of these 'corsa lads' that modded my corsa and am looking to now make some subtle changes to the Punto Evo too.

At the minute im just looking at:
Tinted side repeaters (ordered from ebay today)
Lamin-x front lights
K&N induction kit (wana hear the Turbo!)
possibly lowering springs/coilovers (any Fiat/Arbath approved ones??)
Arbath bumpers (maybe)
either vinyl or sprayed - gloss black bumper centres
HID kits and led lights

and depending on how your unique mod (MrB) turns out i may have to copy that too! im assuming it is a clear plastic with a red bulb fitted for the fog?

Yeah that's it exactly. In Europe because the drive on the opposite side of the road they have to have their rear fog light and reverse light the other way round. Which means we can order the european reverse lamp unit and fit it where our fog light unit is or order their fog light and remove our reverse light unit. However this means you end up with a red reverse light and that's not ideal because I use the light from my reverse light on the drive and to let others know you going backwards. It is totally legal to do both as we don't require a reverse light by law, just depends wether you want two White lamps at the bottom or two red!

Ah excellent. You know when you'll be receiving the unit? I want to see pics!! This is something i would like to do. I did hear on 350Z-UK that the law may get tighter on rear fogs as at the minute a red bulb is fine but apparently there is talk that it may soon be deemed not bright enough... :(

only talk though, on my corsa i had both fogs/reflectors tinted and no police cared in the slightest!

Cheers again

To be honest even in heavy fog, which we get all the time living by a river and by the sea, I only use my front foglights. It's never thick enough to need rears on. And I plan to change it back to the red lamp just for mot and servicing so there is no complications.

I'm expecting it 4th of Jan

Checked out your pics and my first reaction was, god, you've still got snow there?

Anyway, back to the reason for checking out the pics! Very nice. After reading your signature I'm increasingly tempted to change the main beam bulbs etc when my Evo GP finally gets dragged out of the damned docks at Bristol where it's been sat since 11 December. My Eleganza was sat there for over 3 weeks back in May when that came through. :bang:

Well it’s more solid ice than snow now! :( I would definitely recommend changing the bulbs, most Evo owners tend to change them now… Gives better performance & looks better too! (y)

Did you get the bulbs off eBay? If you could point me in the right direction, that would be great, thanks. Did you do the bulbs in the front fogs too or is that a pain in the left nut?
I did the headlights (Osram Nightbreakers Plus) the sidelights (Mtec Super White, which are about the best I could get after trying Philips & Osram ones) & the DRL’s (Mtec Super White). I got all the bulbs off eBay, I’ve not changed the fogs yet although “MrBoney” has so he could tell you if they are difficult to fit or not.

Headlights are H4 fitment
Sidelights are 501 w5w fitment
DRL's are T20 7440 (single filament) fitment
Fogs are H11
