Re: Condensation in both rear light clusters!

Hi All,

My 2014 Punto is also afflicted with condensation in the rear lights. Just called my local Fiat dealer, and they immediately stated it's a known problem, and they'd fix it. Booked in for Friday. They're also going to look at the left wing mirror, which doesn't have the same range of motion as the right mirror. First time I've had to call them, and quietly impressed with their response so far....

Cheers,

Keith.

Rear lights now sorted, as well as the left mirror. Both under warranty. Seemed like an efficient Fiat dealer to me (Dunfermline).

Not ideal, but it works.

And, for the record, it is a 13 plate.

I Was TOLD that the clear lenses are actually COVERS that get condensation under them , but it's not in the region of the actual bulbs/ reflectors..,
I've seen mine condensated a few times.. but it seems to clear fairly readily..,
never bothered to look further , also 2013 Punto ( NOT EVO )

Re: Condensation in both rear light clusters!

I doubt that is the case to be honest.
The silica gel has removed all traces on moisture in the lens so it definitely has access to the area that the moisture is collecting.
Either way, it shouldn't happen. The moisture could affect electrical contacts and regardless of this I simply don't like the look of it.

Re: Condensation in both rear light clusters!

I've read a hair-dryer should get rid of the condensation or leave it in the sun so it warms up.
