Well after clearing all the snow from the car I finally managed to test out my winter tyres (y), biggest problem the Evo had was a slight issue with ground clearance so it did mean some shovelling at certain points to avoid any damage .
On a positive note the Evo handled well with the Marangoni Meteo HPs giving excellent traction even when having to go up a very steep icy brae (see pic 3).... a fun day all round! :D

I am having ground clearance problems with my 105 Dynamic aswell. It is weird, it doesn't look low but in 2500 miles i have clipped the bottom more times than with my alfa 145 which really was low after 12'000 miles.

Still, Evo's always seem to find traction. I am well impressed.

The Sporting is pretty useless on it's standard Bridgestones, I've picked up some snow socks to try out next time it comes.

Bridgestones on mine - which were pretty useless getting up the ramp from my home car park with only a tiny amount of snow... I was stranded until it was gritted.

I havent experienced snow socks on my car but they work wonders with the ambulances i drive slip on and off u go just remember to remove once on tarmac as they shred easily

Bridgestones on mine with the exception of one tyre that needed urgently replacing (apparently, was about ready to explode) (n)

Not had any problems with snow. Only got stuck once which was on 2 inch thick of sheet ice and the road it was on wasn't perfectly straight which meant my alloys would get wrecked trying to get out. A good 30mins of digging all of the ice from around me soon got me on my way again.
