IMO the problem with stop/start (as we have seen before with DPF) is Fiats inability to train its dealership staff and providing the literature for the owner on the correct operation of the system, its advantages and it's limitations.

I listened to a salesman explain the S/S system to a customer yesterday when asked and I nearly laughed out aloud. The S/S is a selling point but its was no surprise a sell was never made in this instance.
Stop start is actually very good and very effective, with a little understanding the customer should be able to see the benefits of such a system after all you have paid for it so why not use it insteard of pressing the 'off' button.
I was going to post something about not having any issues with the Stop Start system while I had my Eleganza but thought I'd jinx myself for when my new GP turns up, so I'm keeping my gob shut.
