now done 1800 miles in my 105 multiair and apart from using a tiny bit of oil (500ml in 1000 miles seems to be) I am so far impressed.

very strange thing happened the other night though. I was leaving my house and i was doing approx 1500rpm in second. For no reason at all the car started engine braking as if i had let off the throttle, as it dropped to 1krpm the "shift down light" appeared so i put it in 1st and it countiued to force itself to a stop. I put the clutch down in hope to catch it and the engine stalled with "start/stop unavailable" and "low oil pressure" warnings.

i restarted and the car drove as normal but it seemed a bit mi-firey in second gear for the first hundred yards or so.

having had a look around the forum and the internet it seems i have 1 of the only 2 non perfect multiairs in existence.

will be going back to the dealers sharpish this week but i am in a dilemma because i think this engine is fantastic, it just "feels" broken somehow (see previously "tappety" topic, no change at all in 1000miles).
