My girlfriend has just picked up her Punto Evo 1.4 8v GP the salesman tried to push their own 3 year service plan at a cost of £486 as he stated the service cost over three years if we paid per service would be around £750. Ive read the manual but am still not clear on the service intervals are they ever 18k miles or is a service required every year? She only does about 7k miles a year.

To preserve your warranty it needs doing yearly even if she doesn't do the mileage interval

18,000miles or 12months, which ever arises earlier.

i asked about a service package, but a service on one of these if its not done daft miles shouldnt be more then £200 maximum.

I got quoted £180 for a basic oil service which is all that should be required for the 1st 2 yrs, the 3rd maybe a bit more. plus i work for a dealer, not fiat, but i can get my discounted.
