Fuming!

On the 5th of August i rang my fiat dealer as i had heard nothing about my Punto Evo GP i was told by my sales man that the car had been built and he would call me in 2 - 3 weeks, 3 weeks passed no phone call so i rang him again on 28th August and was told the car was built he will know more on wednesday the 1st and would ring me then. Surprise suprise no phone call again on Wednesday!! So today i have rung the manager to find out my car HAS NOT been built!! And my sales man is a liar!!
I am sooo cross feel like telling them to shove the flaming car! Lucikly the manager has said he is going to take on my car now i dont have to deal with the other bloke.
I think this is disgusting, i dont care the car hasn't been built its the being lied to that makes me soo cross!! would prefer to be told the truth!

Yep thats Fiat!

I rung my dealership today (ordered mine on the 8th August) And its only just been put in the line to be built!!!

Come on Fiat!
How long does it take to nail a few doors on!

Well they have given me the excuse that they are very popular cars, and the factory didnt make any before the factory shut and now people are having to wait till November for them!!
Dunno how they can say there so popular ive never seen one on the road!!

I know the feeling, And very seriously considering cancelling Ive NEVER had such poor service. Ordered my car on the 8th July i believe and they still have no details for me. Im going in tomorrow and may well cancel because this is ridiculous, Ive made calls to them and almost always have to chase my own calls as they arent returned.
Ive already made calls today with other manufacturers as im now in need of the car, And to quote them will be no later than 8week even in a worst case scenario.... Which means i should get the car next Wed (which i already know wont be happening)

its disgusting..it doesnt particularly bother me the car hasn't been built its the fact i been lied to twice! and when i put my deposite down i was told i would have weekly phone calls even if there is no change...i've never had one phone call! I have always had to ring them and i hate nagging them but when im promised sumin i expect it i shouldnt have to chase them or be lied to!

No your right, Im the same... They dont call so i keep calling and making it clear that i was promised a call/callback and it isnt happening. Keep nagging i am and i think there getting the message

Well i have been told by the manager he will call me on monday or tuesday so hopefully he will be better and actually ring me!!

I could understand the delay on building and delivering if it was a Mercedes C class or BMW 5 Series, but its not.

Its a basic car. There is no reason why it should take so long.

Im lucky with my dealership, they have been honest and have given me as much information as they can. Full credit to them!

Lol yes that is a very good point! I think its stupid they shut the factory the month before the new reg comes out! So what its the hottest month, bloody get on with it everyone else does.. any excuse to get outta working!

Yeah i cant believe there "popular" atm either, i've seen 1.
(That said, there's someone else in my street that has one!)

But only 1 other out in the real world so far.

Fiat seem really crap on there order/deliver times etc, glad i got mine when i did (first on forum! ) i think with the amount of tail chasing people are doing recently i might of told them to stuffed it aswell

Learning? they are useless, i didnt think of it at the time tbh... I should have thought it was very strange every time i went into the show room it was completely dead!

My 135 sporting was ordered on 17/07/20010 still waiting now I have another problem!!

I have just heard from dealership (yesterday), If car is not registered by 30/9/2010 Fiat will not honour there contribution of £2000. I suggest you all check with your dealerships (as I have just walked out of mine after having major argument). I did order my car in July, NOT my fault Fiat cannot deliver on time!!. Dealership says they will plead my case but it stinks, your comments please.

I rang my dealership today and they know nothing about this. They said fiat are trying to get as many cars registered and sold and would be very very very suprised if this was the case

Oh your joking!! Bloody wonderful! Surely they cannot do that its not fair, surely if you have out a deposit down and signed the paper the deal has been done whether the car comes before end of sept or not the deal has been done and agreed they cant take that away!!

I guess if you threaten to walk away if they really wanna sell that car they will change their minds quickly i suppose it depends how important your sale is to them. Im starting to seriously regret buying this car now! i had no problems with my last Fiat now im regretting going back!

Salesman assures me there is no problem, but I am very worried now that I might not get my Evo as I cannot afford another 2 grand. I have all paperwork with there contribution on but I have not finalized finance as car has not yet arrived and finance agreement not signed. Also my order form has no estimated delivery date so I guess its wait and see.
I just wanted peoples opions on where I might stand on this? as I have placed the order and signed for it on 17 July. Plus I Quote " this is the only Sporting we have on order ", just my luck 10 white Evos in dealership and there all GP 8V's.
