I picked my Evo up on Friday which works flawlessly with my iPhone 3GS and was quite shocked by this! :) But anyway heres why...

SEE HERE

"No software upgrade is needed if the SET USB and USB OPTIONS items are present in the MEDIAPLAYER menu.
Furthermore, you can plug your Apple media player into the USB port without needing the Blue&Me adapter for iPod and iPhone.
The new function should be available on cars with chassis number higher than:
- Fiat 500 chassis number 504557
- Bravo chassis number 4300440
- Grande Punto 703814/1693432*
- Punto EVO 707377/1700694*"

Does your car read out all the tracks to you when you plug it in and then pick a song and play a different one? also does it talk to you in italian and swap from the radio to the media player every few minutes??

I have fiats demo car atm and it is driving me nuts i cant play my ipod on itbecause it does all of that, i spoke to the sales men about it n he said i was obv just hitting the buttons on the steering wheel when i turned corners or sumin but it aint me. my hands are no where near the buttons n it does it, it must be a fault with it im hoping so much my car doesn't have that problem otherwise they can take it back and i will have my mini back im already missing the speed of my mini!

I've been using an 8gb memory stick and it's been flawless, I may have to try this though. I've got 400 miles on mine now, it's been great, the only minor niggle I have is the clutch pedal squeeks!

Tried mine yesterday, my 3GS does not work without the adapter. But im driving a 60 plate evo so i wonder what chassis number i have :S

Mines a 60 too? So.. What firmware version do you have on the iPhone only reason i ask is i haven't upgraded still on 4.0, When in media player do you see "No software upgrade is needed if the SET USB and USB OPTIONS items are present in the MEDIAPLAYER menu"
If not it may need your Blue & Me updating to 5.5 which i suggest having done at dealer as people have had issue when doing it themselves and its gone wrong

Can't believe you got rid of a Mini for a Punto Evo! I'd swap my Evo GP for a Mini any day!

I know this is going to sound obvious but...

Make sure your music is in the mp3 format rather than iTunes default of Aac or mpeg4.

Every customer iPod problem I had was down to this. I used to have a thumb drive with mp3s on it specifically to show there were no problems with the blue&me media player.

I cant believe it anymore either...although looks like i am now going to be carless altogether as they have taken my mini and my new car has no signs of arriving at all now. :bang::bang::bang:

Mine just says 'No media' when i connect my iPhone 4 via the USB lead.

On a separate note, how do you update your profile with a pic of your motor? I can't get mine to appear...(damn noob question I know lol)

go to the top of the page and on the left hand side of the page in the red stripe it says 'user cp' go into that then it says profile picture on the left hand side :)

I picked up my new Sporting on Tuesday, plugged my ipod touch in yesterday and it works no problem. I'm pretty sure that the aac's work too as long as they are not protected (I'll double check that claim).

Also I have the tomtom and the ipod interacts with that too so I can see the tracks etc that are playing on the tomtom screen as well as searching for music by artist, album, etc.

It's brilliant. I nearly purchased the adapter from the dealer but they were charging £20+ more than you can get it off ebay so didn't bother. I notice as well that in the pack with all the manuals there is a quick guide to blue&me and on there it says designed for ipod, so wonder if they really have changed it. Anyone else notice this?

By the way the Sporting is awesome!
