Hey Guys,

I took delivery of my Evo last night and have got the Blue & Me satnav with it.

One thing that is puzzling me, I am interested in the Eco Drive software but allthough you can see when to shift on the small display in the dash, I would like to see the info on the Nav screen. After going through the menus and every little thing on the TomTom it would seem that there is no Eco Drive display to be found on it :(

The device says its software was installed 22/07/2010, so fairly recent!

I have looked on the web all night but unfortunately I am unable to find any help on the issue :bang:

Has anyone had the Eco Drive screen up on the TomTom?

It would be nice to keep my MPG up on the dash display and use the Eco on the Nav at the same time :)

Cheers,

Craig

I've been trawling forums looking for the same answer.

However, I have managed to realise that you need to download the eco:Drive software, install it to a USB stick and then install it to the car. The car then says 'EcoDrive On' when you switch on the ignition and it starts recording data. When you put the USB stick back in, it downloads the data to the stick which you then put on your computer.

If you've already done that, then you're in the same boat as me...

Hey,

thanks for the info :)

I have not plugged in the stick yet, im under the impression it must go in the windows USB slot? if so i wont be doing it as i have my Iphone plugged in to that through the Blue & Me adaptor (which is brilliant!!) and then dont touch the phone for anything :D

But as said would love to see the eco circle and shift suggestion on the device, im 99.9% sure i have seen it on the adverts on YouTube and also some of the manuals!! i thought i was going mental and maybe it was just Alfa Romeo's but they are yet to have the software so I am back to square one :(

I shall ask my Fiat Dealer but if they even know what a satnav is then i'll be impressed. They have got nothing correct from day 1!

Cheers for the info (y)

Yeah - you can definitely do it, I've seen a load of pictures with it displayed. If you find out how from the dealer, let me know here :).

Also, you dont need the USB stick plugged in all the time. Only to install the eco:Drive first, and then you can remove it. The car will then save all the eco data and even warns you when the internal memory is getting full, so then you unplug your iPod and plug the USB stick back in to download the data.

I will let you know if i find anything, please dont hold your breath!!

(i was after having turbo-boost gauge on the dash display but am led to believe this is only non-uk models :( gutted)

Im glad i asked about the USB stick! I shall have to get that all set up(y) thanks

Yeah apparently non-UK models get an option to have a better multifunction display, which shows boost information.

Gutting. :(

Yeh what a bugger! If I'd have known there was this option (that im not sure there even is) I would have gone 4 it, like in sure everyone would!

I am rather confused the UK doesn't get this display. It's even more useful when the GPS shows the direction of the next turn on it.

Just recently the temperature was down to the 3C and it showed a little snowflake in the bottom left. (y)

It's not even as if it's a language thing, as mine is in English anyway. Fine by me.

This is though, all rather confusing really. Can't a UK dealer confirm this display or not??

Download EcoDrive onto a memory stick and plug it in, that's all you need to do. It will install/update if necessary and my Evo bleeps and shows a message if the EcoDrive is updated.

On the TomTom you can only see a red/green circle, showing your pressure on the accelerator, along with some trip info. Which you can view on the cars own screen anyway.

That's cool, cheers for the info!

Do you have the nav? Did yours always show the Eco (green/red) circle? I really want it! Maybe i shall look into updating the B&M software. Anyone got a link to it?

Yes I have the TomTom Blue&Me, which is just another one of their "GO" brand I think. It did not show the EcoDrive parts until it was installed via the USB stick. Same for the phone, once paired it also lets you access it and show extra information.

As I remember, I downloaded the Ecodrive from the main Danish dealer site.

But try the UK main site for Ecodrive here...

http://www.fiat.co.uk/ecodrive/#ecodrive/download

You can also access the Blue&Me from here...

http://www.fiat.co.uk/blueandme/

Under the "HELP" section (top right), you can select "Updates" and that will let you download the latest version.

Can't link it directly as it's within the Flash they made.

Hope that helped! (y)

thanks mate,

I reset the sat nav and then paired it with the car. It then had the car menu which had trip info and eco :)

cheers for the links, may do that also
