Quick question to all those with a 105 multiair.

I have done nearly 200 miles now and the engine is still a bit tight but i understand all about the running in process. Has anyone who has had there evo 105 from new noticed the really bad hesitancy in 1st and 2nd gear? for example, If i am rolling along at 10mph in 2nd and i floor it the engine will act as if i haven't done anything, then it will slowly feed in the throttle input.

is this part of the running in process and how long will it take for this to be lifted? Once i am moving, she really can fly :) (and i just came from a 2.0 alfa).

I think they all do, my 1.4 does, its a fly by wire, so its not instant, its a draw back of a basic form of fbw accelerators. Its not seen in upmarket cars.

Well this is the reason i think

300 miles on the clock now and it is a little better but still a pain.

This is my 3rd fly by wire throttled car so i know it is not just because of that. I'll see what it is like at 2000 miles and get a remap if it doesn't change.

I must say though, despite this, its some engine. Brilliant, it accelerates like my old 1.8 HGT and uses half the petrol.
