Just a quick question, im waiting for my Evo GP to be delivered...

The only thing that i dont like is how high iff the ground it looks, mainly just above the wheels, i would love to lower it one click just so it looked a bit better.

but i have bought it on a PCP finance scheme from Fiat. Can i change anything? Even if i let fiat do the work for me?

I asked this when i bought mines and was told it should be ok aslong as fiat fit the lowering springs but they would check for me but i haveant ordered the springs yet as was thinking of getting coilovers so still undecided yet

Speak to your garage about it

I'm not sure you would have to make Fiat aware as the Finance agreement is with a 3rd party (forgot there name) Fiat financial services are based in Leeds, But enquiries into changes and terms is forwarded onto a 3rd party (The Financer) this has certainly been the case with me. I would speak with your dealer or Fiat ask for your agreement number and you can then speak with them direct.

I'll get you the number and company name once I find paper with details on!

cool! i hope i can, would look so much cooler

Just heard from my dealer today, its at the dealership, going to get it on thursday :)

I'd be interested to know. Technically the company that finances the car to the dealer "Fiat Financial Services" own the car until the agreement is settled. It's in the their best interests to NOT allow modifications as it will devalue the car and will have a negative impact on them if you were to default on your agreement and have to have the car seized as it would be worth less on the used car market.

The pcp deal regards the car and finance etc.

There is a GFMV given when financing the vehicle.

The value is based on the mileage quoted and deposit etc.
It is based on the vehicle being returned in a good reasonable condition expected by someone who was to buy it.

So basically it has to be returned with full history, bodywork in good condition with obvious exceptions given for minor stone chips and scrathes etc.

Modifications away from the manufacturers equipment will lower the value of the car, so if you modify it keep the original parts so you can return it to the standard.

Or you may end up owing them money to return it to a salable condition.
so basically your GMFV may be £4,000. This is based on what i said above.
But with "crap" modifications it would lower this as you havent kept to the terms of the agreement.

I hope i explained this ok?

I asked the salesman this on sunday and he basically said:

You can but you would be obliged to buy the car at the end of the term.

Given that, i don't see why they would be fussy if you return it back to standard if you plan on handing the car back.

It's like all finance agreements, not supposed to but people will.
