General Punto Evo GP ordered :)

Went to my local dealer today with the gf, got them to match the Bristol street motors deal online and as luck would have it they have the perfect spec Punto Evo GP at the docks waiting to Be delivered as a showroom car.

Ordered a Ambient White GP with the red/grey interior plus style pack!

The only thing that is missing from what would have been perfect spec is the side protection strips. He wasn't sure whether or not this one had them. Ideally I wanted them in black to break up the White a little. Is this something I can buy afterwards?

The car will be with us next week

Gf has part exchanged her vw polo an manage to haggle them to give us 95% of what we were expecting to get if we sold it privately.

Yes you can ask for a Dealer Fit option for the rubbing strips, It does break up the color. Wanting the strips for mine afterward (should it ever arrive) Ive ordered white too but may go for body coloured as im quite happy with the black bumpers... Tuck some getting used to!

Is it possible to get the bumpers colour coded?

Yes I know. The garage who offered the deal originally only
had a red 5 door in. Really chuffed, and I'm definitely in the other halts goo books now! Haha.

Let the dealer know you want rubbing strips asap, otherwise they could sting you with an obscene price.... I'm sure right now your still in the "Lets keep the customer happy" box, so go for it asap.


I can't find the bog-standard black rubber strips on the fiat website, But...

Body Coloured Rubbing strips are £80 on Fiat website.


And on Fiat Accessories (genuine fiat parts, at obscene prices, naturally.)...

Protective Rubbing Strips are £60 (normal rubber, black strips)
Also requires an additional £59 for Adhesive (wtf!?)


So maybe that'll give you a rough idea of what to expect from the dealership.
