Hi.

I have tried the old 120hp GP and thought that it was cruising at to high rpm's when i was on the freeway.
Is it the same transmission on the Evo?

And for a final question - do you know if the 6sp tranny from 1.4 16v can be mounted on the 135hp multiair, and if the 6 gear ratio is better for cruising? I have access to such a transmission.

Well just drove mine home from the garage tonight :) The RPMs seems to be about the same as it was on the 6 speed for the same MPH. at 60 its about 2500 rpm and at 70 about 3000. The only thing is I need to get used to there not being a 6th gear there or there won't be a reverse haha

Damn, one thing i had against the sporting was i had images of it screaming down the motorway making ears bleed.

My Evo Eleganza (6sp) is about 2500-3000 at 70-80.

Okay i guess i will have to wait and see if its better than the old GP. If not i might try and see if a 5sp gear pinion (??) will fit from a diesel... People often do that on Citroen, VW etc.
