Well if you have been following my posts then you will know the problems I have been having trying to get a new Punto Evo Sporting. Well Finally I got a phone call last week to say the car is now in the garage. Yay I think finally. So, having been away till last night, I went in today to sigh the agreement. However on looking at it I almost dropped when I noticed that the Style pack and the Visibility pack were not on it.
I couldn't believe it. The salesman tried to assure me that it was but when he looked at it there wasn't really anything he could say. Its been a total cock up from start to finish.
The Sales manager basically told me that I had 2 choices, I could take it as it is or cancel the order and they would give me my old car back. Very nice of him.
I dunno what to do now. I seriously think they want me to cancel as I think the original salesman gave me a deal that they are not making money from.
After calming down and thinking about it I think I might take it as it is. With the difference between my settlement from before and now and the difference of what has not been included I am gonna have £1140 of a difference from the previous agreement. this works out at £23.75 a month over the 4 years bringing my monthly payments down to £212. They have maintained the trade in price of £6000 which is excellent.
My thinking is I can live without the visibility pack as nice as it would have been. I can get the windows tinted myself and I painted the calipers on my last Grande myself so that would mean the outside would look the same anyway.
I have an acoustic parcel shelf with a pair of heavy duty Pioneer speakers on it and a pair of Pioneers for the front, that I took out my old car. This, if I put them in to the new one, would make a big improvement to the sound quality. The only thing is its a major pain in the A*** to take all the panels off to get into the speakers. Also they never seem to really go back on as well as they came off.
I just wish I didn't have to go through all this hastle because, once again, they have got it wrong.
