Well, not made a post in awhile so think i shall do some venting!

Back when i got the car, my Blue&Me TomTom unit wouldnt connect with the blue&me, took car into dealership 3 times (Full Days each time) for them to talk to TomTom & Talk to Fiat directly and get a specialist in etc until they decided to put in a new B&M Control Unit... which took weeks to arrive & then they forgot to tell me.

Finally, got the new unit fitted (Another full day) and the B&M TomTom still wouldnt work, so took it in AGAIN, and they sorted it pretty quickly and everything worked just fine.

After a few weeks & long distance travelling, i found my music (from memory stick) was stopping / restarting and the B&M was completely rebooting mid-travel... so phone would disconnect / music would stop / satnav would disconnect, and a minute or 2 later it'd come back again.

So, i took it into the dealership a few weeks ago who had a look at it for the day, and the guy drew a blank... but pointed out he just recieved an email from Fiat telling him about a conflict between Blue&Me TomTom + EcoDrive (which i had installed) which caused media playback problems so we assumed it was that, and that he'll give me a ring when a fix comes out.

Couple of days later i had a phone call saying theres a new type of B&M Control Unit fiat have in testing that fixes the problem, and he'll order it as soon as its avaliable, a few weeks later he gave me a ring & said its in & to bring the car in.

So, last week, i took the car in for a half day.. they replaced the B&M Control Unit... Unfortunately i got the car back in Italian because the person who worked on my car didnt know how to change the language to English, and the Master Technician that usually works on it wasnt in as he was on training with Fiat...... But my music was working just fine.

So, brings me to yesterday where i drove to Croyed Bay & realised i havent connected my Sat Nav yet so i tried to connect it, and it refused to connect and after multiple attempts, still wont connect. - So i'll take it into a dealership when i can be arsed.

Today i just ran out to my car to grab some change from the cubby hole by the drives knee, and noticed it looked alittle odd, opened it & found that whole section of dash can be easily pulled out & pressing any buttons results in the section of dash moving about.

Now im just pissed off, going to phone the dealership tomorrow & demand the master tech works on it rather than some unknown clueless guy, and i want it all bloody working & nothing falling off.

Gees I think I would be driving it through the dealers front window by this stage. I think you should be looking for compensation as well for all the time and traveling costs involved in you having to keep taking the car in and them not fixing it.

Hope you get this sorted out. I am supposed to be getting my new Sporting tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Its certainly taking the **** now, i'll certainly be hinting at compensation... weather i'll get anything for my troubles i doubt it tbh.

As long as the master tech agrees to sort it out i'll let it go, but if they let another trainee or someone who just doesnt know what hes doing have another go at it i'll hit the roof.... Certainly not happy about my fasia being able to be pulled off with ease, wouldnt surprise me if its ment to clip in & the guy broke the clips or something, can see me waiting for further parts.

Sorry. Sounds like you're having a rather bad time with it all.

My advice, put all this down on paper, listing dates/times if possible. It is certainly worth writing a complaint to both the dealer and Fiat UK over.

I know my Evo is still playing up, usually it forgets the music on the usb stick and switches to the radio. Unplugged the stick and plugging it back it fixes it. So I'm living with it right now.

I have noticed my satnav is now screwing with my phone. The phone connects fine to the car, every time. But when you switch on the satnav, it then disconnects from the car and connects only to the satnav.

Of course, with all this tech stuff, you have Fiat, TomTom and Microsoft involved. Too many cooks, perhaps? I won't say the obvious about Microsoft. Ahem.

Just got car back, tomtom's syncing again.

Apperently they shouldn't of even booked my car in last time because its the master tech's project rather than the peons :p but they sorted the tomtom, its working again... Apparently the new control unit they installed is a new part there doing for the Evo is new to solve a bug some of them have, and there was a recall notice on it to update the software.

So update, job done.

However, Dash components on order.... as expected.
