Now this may be a stoopid question (stay with me!), but what does the "H" mean on the display next to the km (or miles)?

It's on all the time on my evos multi-function display next to the km.

I've looked in my Danish handbook for the car, but it actually doesn't show this at all for both kinds of displays.

Yet, it's shown clearly on the brochure for the evo too. So I'm guessing it's normal.

I'm also guessing this is an indication of a setting that is on?

Perhaps someone could put me out of my misery (oh and answer the question! :p )

 no idea, is the H always on? like even if uve just turned on the engine?

No doubt other ppl with Turbo's will know though... im sure someone with the answer will appear ;)

I asked FIAT through the Ciao Fiat helpline about the "H" as it always is on on my Eleganza and as you say it's not shown or explained in the handbook. I was told it's to do with the headlight adjustment setting but that only comes on when you turn the headlights on - doesn't it? H = headlight?? Seems superfluous to me. Felt they didn't really know what it's for.
... 5 minutes later ...
I've just been out and checked the car. I turned on the ignition and the headlights but no sign of the "H". Sorry but didn't notice when it turned off. Never had one on my Panda 100HP. The mystery deepens!
By the way, the car has now done just over 400 miles.

What i was told wen i picked mine up that is only displayed for the first 100 odd miles, and it means that you can reset the mileage to zero but it can only be done once

I think that's right. (y)

It was on last night when I started my trip to work but it disappeared at 200km and has not been on since.

Odd though it's not mentioned in the handbook. Ho hum.

after delivery and the car has been roadtested the mileage is reset to 0, this is done by holding the function select button....however this is supposed to be done by the garage that does the PDI so when you collect the car is has 0 miles on it etc...

Hello, I took delivery of my new Punto Evo a few days ago and the H is still in the display. Can somebody clarify the procedure to reset it, the above instructions are not working. My Fiat dealer hasn't got a clue how to do it which is a bit worrying ! I have done 100 miles so it would be nice to go back to zero ! Many thanks

Yes it is the multi-function display as per original post, cheers
I think what “Ironhorse” means is: as the display shows in the pic with the “Turbo Boost Display”… as it appears that Fiat have not provided that function on the UK Sporting models. :(
We all really wish they had though!!!:bang:

Seems like Fiat have made some adjustments, 60 plates have Media functionality on TomTom for example, wouldn't surprise me if they added the multifunction display aswell

I feel out of date already!

My apologies, I couldn't get the image to load originally. I didn't realise there are two different displays. Mine doesn't have the same display as the image, the 'H' is to the left of the mileage reading, on my display it is nearer the middle.
My car does have the latest blue & me connection with the aux connector and USB port but I don't think that will make any difference ?
I don't have a function selection button as per the above post, I have a Menu/esc and the + - etc.
I'm not sure what one has to be held down to reset it, I have tried all of them !

Well AUX in is new! I have a 60 and the Blue and Me allows ipod/iphone out of the box and works flaswlessly. Would really love the multi-function display :) Thanks for explaining TJ :)

Is it confirmed that its only the 60 plates that can access the media function on the Tom Tom? Or if I upgrade both the tomtom, and blue and me... would i get it? (I'm guessing not)

Had is not even a year and my cars already behind the times. :bang:

Apparently about 8 months after Punto Evo's released Fiat started using a different Blue&Me Unit which supports the Media function, so in theory late 58 plates might have it but everything 60 onwards will have it.

That's what my dealerships told me anyway..

I contacted TomTom, who said to delete some files & do an update to restore them and if it doesn't work then to contact Fiat as its there setup.

So I contacted FiatUK 2 weeks ago and they escalated my question and told me they'd be in contact within 2 days... and i emailed them again last week reminding them its been 7 days, and I got another email saying there sorry, they'll make sure I get contacted within the next 2 days!..... well, that was 5 days ago & nothing yet.

And Updates have no effect, I've tried all sorts (n)

I'll chase FiatUK again soon, while my dealer is good and honest with me compared to some i'd like an official response from Fiat... And given the opertunity I'll chase other sources too.

For info, I never did find out how to reset the mileage but the 'H' disappeared at exactly 125 miles.

The car is in delivery mode, has to be set up by dealer before delivery to customer, unless of course car bought from a supermarket !!
