General Dealer offer what do you think?

Ok Went to my local Arnold Clark Fiat dealer tonight and told him the deal I had been offered. Although he is yet to confirm it he recons he has a white sporting basic (i.e. no style pack or subwoofer, though he said he would get the windows tinted for nothing) it would be pre registered and he recons he can do it for £230 p/m with the same no deposit and final value of £4600.

Would I be better getting the extras (though to be honest the tints and calipers are all I am really interested in) and a first registered (new) car or save £10 p/m and get a pre registered car?. Does getting it pre registered affect things further down the line?

well after all that Arnold Clark have now told me that they can't match the other deal and that I should go for it as it is a great deal. Going over tomorrow to see them :)

There is a Fiat Dealer in Kilmarnock called Bicketts which is owned by Verve. Its actually where I bought my last car as, once again, Arnold Clark couldn't beat their deal.

Well finally bought the car from Bicketts in Kilmarnock. They managed to shave another £5 p/m of the deal so all in all I think I am getting a great deal from then. Arnold Clark said they couldn't match the deal and that it was a very good offer. Getting it on Wednesday so kinda excited now lol. Going to take all the bits an pieces I have put into it out today - the speakers, the light bulbs the new style badges etc.

find it hard to believe they can undercut arnies, is it a pre-reg? Loads of rumours they are losing fiat ,no techs, no DET etc ... dunno if true or not?

Well Arnold Clarks were about £25 p/m more expensive and that was for a pre registered base Sporting. Bicketts is new, not pre registered, and has the style pack and he is going to change the wheels for a pair of 17" 2 tone ones he has there as I don't like the grey wheels that comes on the style pack.

I dunno about them loosing fiat but anything is possible. Hope not cause I would not really wish to take my car to Arnold Clarks for a service.

Might Not Be Getting My New Car Today

Well was supposed to be going over at 2pm to collect my new car however just had a call from the garage saying apparently Fiats Computers are having problems and they have been unable to register and tax my car :( SO he is not sure if I will still be able to collect it today.

Re: Might Not Be Getting My New Car Today

Nope didn't get it. Its going to be Friday now as the salesman is off tomorrow however he said he would make sure I get a full tank of petrol to compensate so not too bad :) Disappointed though.

Not really, though i only had 1 tank of standard petrol (came with the car) and i was driving more carefully.

I dont think i can justify V-Power tbh... though i do tell myself eh so what, if your going to spend £40+ quid on petrol what's wrong with spending another £1-2 for a tank of decent petrol that'll keep your engine clean (That being said, i dont actually know if its £1-2!... its £1.25/litre compared to £1.18/litre)

I mainly use it because it has the cleaning stuff in it, but no doubt i'll go back to standard petrol if the prices go up anymore, but i deffo wont be using any supermarket fuels :)

Still No car - The latest Saga

Well was meant to be getting my new car today and I spoke to the garage first thing to confirm and was told everything was ok. However about 20 mins later he called me back to say they had just discovered the car had been damaged . He said the door had been scratched however they had the same car in (though with leather interior) and they would swap the door over.

So I took a drive over to see it and suggested to the salesman about getting the one with the leather instead for the same price but he said they wouldn't do that as it was too expensive.

However on looking at the damage we discovered that it wasn't just the door but the rear panel and the side skirt as well. So he says to me "tell me now that you are rejecting the car due to the damage and you would like the leather one instead". So I said that and he said on I will make sure thats what you get (y).

So they are going to change over the registration but that means I might not get it till Monday.

So seems like a good deal to me, worth waiting a few extra days for :) Also has the proper Fiat two tone wheels as well :)

Re: Still No car - The latest Saga

They'll only put it in the bodyshop and sell it as new to someone else ;) :p.

Probably but I know about it so wouldn't take it.

Just discovered as well by looking at the Price list it also has visibility pack as well which is the electrochromatic rear view mirror and auto wipers :)
