Now i've got my tomtom etc setup & working, i can answer some of the questions i've been asked, if anyone has more questions feel free to ask.

Question 1:
Does voice control from the device work through the cars internal mic when connected to Blue&Me?

Answer 1: No.

Question 2:
Does the audio from the device work through the car speakers when connected to Blue&Me?

Answer 2: No, but ill be shocked if it isnt added in a future update.

Question 3:
Can the cars Blue&Me work with the device to give it commands?

Answer 3: Yes & No, You can say "Satnav" and it'll open the TomTom Menu on the device, and then you can use the steering wheel arrows to scroll on the devices menus, but it truely is adding 1 voice command + 6-button presses to a 1 touch screen press. (thus, pointless.)

Question 4:
Does the device give trip computer information?

Answer 4: Yes, Average & Range on 1 screen + Trip A (Avg/Range/avgspeed) / Trip B (same as A) buttons.

Question 5:
Is the devices "Eco-Drive" graph a rev meter?

Answer 5: No, its more of a pedal pressure meter but it does take revs into account but it is not a rev meter, if you press the pedal too hard (uneconomical) the graph goes from green to red.

Question 6:
Is there a delay between the devices eco-readouts and the cars trip computer?

Answer 6: Yes, about 0.5-1 sec.

Question 7:
Does the device come up with INCOMING call information?

Answer 7: No.

Question 8:
Can the device dial numbers / address book? (with phone attached to car)

Answer 8: Yes, it has an on-screen address book taken from your phone/car & it has an effective easy-access dialpad.

Question 9:
Can you control or see your music/playlists via the TomTom screen?

Answer 9: No.

Question 10:
Can the device recieve Live/Wireless traffic updates?

Answer 10: No, this requires an RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver, unknown weather the standard tomtom RDS-RMC Reciever will work with Blue&me TomTom.

My conclusion:

Its a good unit, its a good satnav, its great not to have wires, but its Blue&Me connectivity is pretty minimal, I hope Fiat/TomTom update it with some new features like audio via speakers, now playing with playlist function, and auto-on/off via ignition.

All in all, if you already have a new TomTom & aren't bothered about the wire, id probably pass... But if you have no satnav or are looking for one (and have an evo with the socket) id highly suggest the B&M TomTom, you'd pay a similar price for one of equal spec so you may aswell spend alittle more & have it wire-free with some extra functions.

One question: Where can I get it for a good price? My dealer won't budge and I refuse to pay nearly £300 for one. They're available on eBay, but no savings to be had there either, not that I'd risk getting one there.

I had a look around but couldn't find it anywhere, worth getting to fit nicely in the car bit disappointing about the lack of integration.

I needed a new satnav anyway so am getting mine with my new car, plus I managed to get the dealer to throw it in free.

not seen any cheaper yet, its a pretty exclusive item right now :(

Hey, picked my new motor up last week but not had chance to get some pictures up of it yet, will do soon. I also managed to get the Blue&Me Sat Nav chucked in for free by the dealer which was sweet, just wondering if anyone's bought a case for it yet and where from, TomTom's website sells them for about£20 which i thought was a bit steep, thinking ebay maybe?
If you have bought one can you link me to where you got it, if you recommend it, cheers

...and auto-on/off via ignition.

There is an option to switch off the device when the ignition is switched off. But I don't think there is to switch it on, sadly.

Also, if you have opted for the Multi-function display, you will see a duplicate picture of the next junction from the GPS on the multi-function display.

I actually found that quite useful as it's straight in front of you between the dials. :)

On reflection I personally prefer my Garmin I have in the Panda.

Mine doesnt seem to have the multi-function GPS indicator, i was expecting arrows & things but it didn't happen... makes me wonder if its another one of the bells / whistles the foriegn cars have over the UK ones.

Yeah a follow up on that display.

Tested it & checked options, TomTom has the "Show Direction On Car Display" option, its checked but its greyed out & cant find any way of enabling it.

Which i think is pretty ****ty, would of been a nice little feature... guess the Evo's abroad have a different display :(

That said, i will check with dealership & see what they say.

It wasn't standard on my Sport (UK Sporting), but option code 710, 2,000 DKK. "Multi-function display for the Multiair"

Now cue some eerie music...

I could not find that on the UK brochue PDF

or the Danish brochure actually,
http://www.fiatpresse.dk/pdf/fiat/brochure_punto_evo.pdf

but it IS on the Danish pricelist...

Bit of an odd one? :(

Seems to abit alot of weird things tbh, i thoroughly researched my Evo prior to purchasing... was certainly no mention of different displays etc, i'll be taking it to dealership in the next few weeks so i might mention it & see what they say.
