Just been told that my Punto Evo GP, which I ordered 2 weeks ago, will leave the factory in Italy in 4 weeks - then I'll just have to wait for it to be shipped - haven't a clue how long that'll take.

Quite excited but slightly concerned that this will clash with the holiday period when the factory in Italy shuts down for a month... You wouldn't get that from a Japanese car manufacturer - but then again most (but not all) Japanese cars are bland and boring...

Which month is it they shut for 4weeks worried about my order

August, I think. My dealer mentioned that the factory closes down (not sure how long for) and they all go on holiday. Somebody also mentioned it in this thread...

Told my car should be around here early September so... I guess only time will really tell

That's the amount of profit in a Punto Evo which is taken off the basic price (ie before VAT and OTR costs). This is what you can get off the price if it's a financed PRIVA registration. If it's non finance then push for a TACTI deal and get more money off.

I've just ordered a Punto Evo GP, 1.4 8v with side rubbing strips, spare wheel and parking sensors in Acid Jass Blue.

First car, so only the very basics for me.

I've been told it should be arriving at the end of September - mostly due to the factory closing in August.

Can't wait!

Have you had any insurance quotes? Just wondered whos coming up best, Seems to be Admiral for me

Elephant so far for me, although its come out cheaper on their actual site rather than through any of the compare websites for some reason...
