General Have you ordered an Evo?

I'm collecting my Punto EVO on wednesday from Fiat Pewsham (FiatSupaSaver) :D

However on saturday I'm going to Bath to visit friends so I'll nip over to Pewshams to see if the car is available to take photo's of hehe :p

Cannot wait!!!!

When you first see the car you'll be so excited, then it will quickly turn to frustration knowing that it's their but you have to wait until wednesday lol. Thats exactly what it was like for me. Anyways, I hope the time flies for you, I'm looking forward to seeing your car :)

Probably will be ordering mine next month can't wait :)

Cool, the Evo population is growing!

bare in mind you'll no doubt have a long waiting period (if your planning to buy something with extras etc)

Just saying, if your hoping to order it & drive it a week later you may aswell order it now & wait a month for it to arrive (y)

I cant help but wonder how many sales Fiat have lost due to people ordering then finding out they have to wait a month or 2 for it to arrive (n)

Thats a short delivery time? I dunno why people have such issues with delivery times tbh. When my dads ordered cars hes had to wait for a year + sometimes.

Its worse if you order june july time as the italians have a month off lol

Hello all,
2 weeks ago i went with my partner to pick up her new Fiat 500, whilst she was finalising the paperwork i had a browse around the showroom myself and something new caught my eye. To cut a long story short, a few days later i went back, and put pen to paper on a new 1.4 16v MultiAir (105) GP in crossover black, Dark grey cloth with red insert and cruise control. Not bad for someone who never had any intentions of buying a new car until he went with his girlfriend to pick her car up!!
So, it's due to be made in week 18 (beginning of May), hoping for a delivery date of 4 weeks later so start of June! Seems ages away though!
Can't wait
:)

The petrol range seems abit more attractive than the diesels now i think. People probably like the idea of MultiAir & the diesel range is abit lacking in the Evo i think. Im sure the new 95bhp Multijet would be alright, but Fiat could do with pulling their finger out & getting the 1.6 diesel in the range.

Although the Evo seems to be selling well enough, the lack of big diesel must put some people off if they don't want to go for a petrol. Even if the 1.3 95 Multijet was brilliant, it'd still feel like a backwards step for people moving from a Stilo 1.9JTD (115bhp) or Grande Punto (1.9 130bhp, 1.9 120bhp, 1.6 120bhp). Thats without considering people moving from other brands.

When i asked a dealer, they said the bigger diesel should arrive in the second half of this year. He thought the hold up was probably to do with getting it to work with Stop & Start.

I had an email from the dealership this week to say that My order had moved to Fixed meaning it had been allocated a space on the line, still looking at 2nd-3rd week of June though :(

Sounds like theyre communicating well. Probably how it should be, but so many people have problems with things like communication when they order a car (across all makes of car) that it's good that your dealer seems on the ball about even minor details such as this.

I ordered my Evo 4 weeks ago tomorrow. Was informed of a 3 month wait on ordering, which is what I was told when I bought the current vehicle (Grande Punto Eleganza).

I called into the dealer a few days ago and while I was there they checked the status of the car and told me that it was due to arrive in the UK from Italy during the first week in May. A pleasant surprise indeed.

I've ordered the Evo Eleganza (105bhp) in crossover black. The only extras I've gone for are side rubbing strips and floor mats as the Eleganza has pretty much everything anyway. The only extra I would like to get is the Blue & Me Tomtom unit, but it's almost £300. I've not been able to get the dealer to budge on the price as yet which is enormously frustrating seeing I am spending over 14k on the car. A bit more pushing required on my part I think!

I am hoping to have the vehicle in the next couple weeks. :)

It has been interesting to read the feedback from everyone on their new Evos. I'll be keeping my eyes open for all the little niggles people have reported. It's good to be made aware, thanks all.

I'm guessing you got the style pack or did you buy the body coloured ones for £80?

Another member got his eleganza and the style pack was on it even though he didn't order it with it so you may be lucky lol

Just the standard ones for £80. Couldn't justify spending any more! Would be nice to have the extras for free though. I guess I'll soon find out.

I was told that the model I've ordered came with the ambient lighting, but from the website it's listed as an option in the leather pack. What exactly does the ambient lighting give you?

Ambient lighting comes with the Eleganza as standard anyway but the leather is available on other models thats why. You get little lights that light up the front door handles and a strip of light along the dash infront of the passenger. Looks seriously good :D

If your car is delivered with the style pack then keep hush to the dealer lol.

And please upload photo's when you get it lol

I'm super happy with mine and I'm sure you will be with yours!!!!

I can confirm you get Ambient Lighting with Eleganza as standard, mine isnt leather & i've got ambient.

And like boney says, I'm damned happy with mine aswell :D

Bit cheeky that they charge the same for the leather pack on Eleganzas that already have the lighting part included as standard, as they do for the pack on a lower model that needs all parts upgrading.

It's almost like charging the same for climate control on a model with no air con (like a Panda 1.2 4x4) as for a model that already has the air con & just needs the controls changing (like a Panda Dynamic). Incidently in this instance Fiat charge £260 to add c/c on the Dynamic with a/c already fitted, but £710 to add it to the 4x4 that doesn't have a/c already fitted. Wouldve thought they'd have had a similar approach to the leather pack on the Evo

On a different note it's amazing how many people are going for the higher spec Evo's, even with the price increases. Traditionally Puntos seemed to sell best in their low & middle trims - how many top spec ELX Mk1's, HLX Mk2's & Eleganza Mk2B's do you see? Ive never seen many at all compared to the lower models (SX, Active etc).

My dealer was offering the Eleganza for about £500-£600 more than the next model down. Seemed crazy to drop a model for such a small decrease in price yet lose out on so many extras.

I'm glad to have the ambient lighting in my new one (when I get it). Would be even better if they accidently put on the front fogs in error as well. Can always hope. All I want to know now is where I can get a good deal on the B&M Tomtom unit for the Evo as I am not paying £280 for it and cannot get the dealer to budge at the moment!!

Ordered an Evo here in February shortly after the launch in Denmark.

Talking with the dealer, this car caused some interest amongst Danish dealers. As we all know they are making them to order and this was probably the first one imported to Denmark. Makes it feel a little more special.

It arrived on Friday last week and the dealer got it ready on Monday. Superb car I must say and our Panda now has a bigger brother.

Not sure how the modesl stack up here to the UK, they offer only three Evos here: Active, Dynamic and Sport.

Punto Evo 1.4 Turbo (Nero Provocatore)

Danish Sport edition
Sideskirts, spoiler, ambient lighting, sports interior, 17" alloys, darkened front lights, turning fogs.

Plus extra equipment
Darkened rear windows, multi-function display, full Blue&Me system and navigation, side rubbing strip in colour with Punto logo, sub-woofer sound system and Italian flag badges on the doors.

Total 254,000 DKK (yes, Denmark has extremely high car prices)

Stunning even when standing still. Difficult to say what I was expecting, always loved the Punto Grande. Unlike some I do like the redesign it and the interior is very well done.

Already done 152km now! Gotta say I love the engine display for the airflow into the turbo. :D

I really do like the subtle touches on the car, especially the "dot" in the Punto logo being red on this version. Black and green being the others of course. Although they do not sell the green eco fuel version here in Denmark.
