Just bought the missus a punto TD wow what a cracking little motor!
Could someone tell me about this red key thing ours is a 2001 model and came with two blue keys, one has the fiat logo on it the other does not should there be a red key for the car or not? I have the service history book but have no owners booklet. I really could do with one so the wife knows where to put the oil etc because I know she will forget what I have shown her!
Any help would be appreciated.

the new punto only has two blue keys. the fiat logos fall off after a while!

even with diesels, the higher bhp the faster it will be. you can take it for granted that they'll have increased the torque as well!

Massive torque - 0 - 60 faster than the HGT and a top end some 10mph faster - not that I am brave enough to take a car this light to that speed! 1/4 mile in under 16s and a terminalspeed of 89mph ;-) AND 48mpg AND group 6 insuranace ;-)

130bhp on a Punto TD??? That must fly! I drove an Audi A6 TDi 130 estate a while ago; that thing went, and it must be 3 Punto's worth in weight...

As an everyday driving car TD's (with lots of torque) make so much sense as that is where the revs are going to be during normal driving anyway. E.g. around town you just floor it for quick acceleration if required and you pretty much have instant peak torque.

Just a random Q though: around what time does the remapped Punto JTD do 0-100mph ?
