i recently brought a stilo 02 plate with 41k on the clock its a 1.9 tdi full service history, but now has developed a problem. When i go over 3000 revs in third and above gears the car bleeps and displays an engine malfunction signs with a spanner and dramatically looses power in the following gear change this problem has increased as the weather has got colder but i have been letting the car warm up and cool down. my friends has told me that it is just cold weather interfering with the diesel turbo but i would like some other peoples opinons

Eddie, welcome to the forum. The recent cold has FA to do with your turbo working or not. It could be the overboost valve playing up. Do a search in the Stilo section for advice. It could be that as the weather has become a lot wetter the valve has become a bit clogged up. Take it to a dealer and get it looked at. Then whe your'e finished take it for a re-map if you havent already.
