hi my missus's punto 2001 55k miles started running rough a few weeks ago engine light came on found out head gasket had gone. got this sorted. prior to this going, it has started revving up on its own and hunting, especially when you take your foot off the accelerator. got it plugged into diag at fiat and suggested ecu ahd been damaged ( these symptons happened last summer, had throttle body cleaned and went away) HAD NEW PLUGS/LEADS STILL NO GOOD SO JUST HAD NEW ECU fitted, ran smooth for a couple of days and bugger me its just started running rough and started revving up again! has anyone any ideas apart from a can of petrol and a match?
