on the 1.8 bravo hlx you get 113 (mk1) or 115 (mk2) bhp.

on the 1.8 punto hgt you get 130bhp

the engines are the same, so i'm assuming the extra 15bhp must come from the different maps used by the ecu's.

can anyone confirm this? are there any other differences between the bravo and punto? they look identicle and use the same engine code as far as i'm aware.

Head is slightly different, cams are different, air intake is different (2 stage) and variator is not existent on Bravo engine. Other than that the map is obviously different.

my car is the mk1 without eprom so i guess a rechip is my only option. i remember you mentioning it can be done (no one else thinks its possible)

how much will a rechip cost for my ecu?
