I thought it might be interesting to compare how much people are paying for insurance and who is giving the best deals.
I am 39 years old from south Wales, Drive a GP 1.9 Sporting.
Full no claims - protected
courtesy car and legal cover included
This year to stay with Elephant.co.uk they quoted £365.
Negotiated this down to £298 with excess of ony £160 per claim.

Tesco were doing it for that price but the cover was stripped down without the courtesy car, protection, legal cover and the excess was £450.

A quick call to Elephant and asked them to price match - very happy.

20yr old north east england, £450 a yr Fully Comp with my father as the main driver (49 yrs old). Im not bothered about NCB at the moment to be honest i'd rather build them up when it doesn't cost me £1000+ a yr for insurance. That's with Liverpool Victoria. I might go on my own when I hit 21.

1300 a year fully comp :(
20 yr's old
2yr no claims bonus
2 convictions (no points)

due to be taken out next friday but im gonna put my g/fs dad on my insurance as a second driver which should bring it down abit!

i cant wait till im 22 ill have 4 yr no claims and no convictions :)

24yrs old, held licence for 18 months, 3yrs NCD and i'm paying £220 a year with legal cover and hire car with Privilege on my 1.4i Active Sport. Not a bad deal i don't think.....based on postcode in doncaster.

Is that 3rd party or fully comp?

I'm 27, paying £318 fully comp with 6yrs NCD with a Torquay postcode. If you're fully comp then i'm getting on the phone! (y)

Comprehensive mate....it has to be when the car is valued above £5K. Luckily i'm a car insurance underwriter so i get to know all the rates for all the companies and privilege is bet at the moment out of all the major uk insurers!
Give em a bell....remember....you don't have to be posh to be privileged! ;)

privilege defiantely best then? my insurance is due on 9th october and am looking for the best quote at the min.

Cheers

Alex

I think privilege are extremely good at the minute....drivers aged over 27 should call direct line and anyone awaiting a renewal with Norwich Union will be shocked if there renewal falls after 1st of Oct as they are moving the business back to uk and putting premium prices back up as they think they have a big enough customer base to retain around 60% of customers which they calculate will be enough for them to hit target for the next year. Churchill also have a price beat guarantee at the minute and Tesaco have a clubcard offer on until the 10th of Oct.

Any body have any other insurnace probs just msg me and i'll see if i can help you out!

Regards
Phill

In Turkey we pay 2 different insurance one of them traffic insurance and the other one is automobile insurence . The traffic insurence costs 100-150 ytl (£50 ) this's compulsive. And optional automobile insurance costs 1000 ytl( £335 ) per a year fully comp. This's cost of the GP 1.4 77 hp dynamic+ sport pack+skydome, I'm 19 and licenced since 2005. You see ,we pay totally £400. This account is very high for turkey .

i passed my test a year and 3 months ago so ive got driving experience which you dont have, and they said when i went for my insurance that they specialise in people who have had crashes, i put my mum as a named driver and it took it down by £400 lol so maybe try that
