Lo all,

Anyone have experience wtih changing the shocks. My Marea Weekend 110 JTD is 5 years old with 50k on the clock and the ride is bit hard. Is this normal and if not should I change all four shocks or only the front two. The last question is, can I do it myself with a normal tool kit and jack?

Thanks in advance

Lo all,

Forgot to ask what would be a good manufacturer to recommend?

You may need some extra tools in case of stuck or unwilling bolts.
Remember to thoroughly soak all the bolts in penetrating oil for a few days before.
Always wind off then back on then off further then back on...
Take note of where each bolt comes from and its direction.
Use a blowtorch for heating any very stuck bolts.
Be careful of bearings and rubber parts when using heat.
You might need a smooth piece of bar to drift out the strut-to-hub carrier bolts.
Be careful disassembling the shock absorbers.

As for which ones to choose - why not get a replacement set from Andrew Page or www.shop4parts.co.uk. Not sure how much original ones will cost from Fiat.
