Just put a couple of new pictures on my site.

www.dave-cummings.co.uk/cars

New gaiters in the interior, (see styling), and blue lacquer in the engine compartment.

Do you think blue looks ok in the engine or should I go for silver?

Got more additives than fuel in my tank.

Can't see the gaiters very well, take some close up pics.

Blue looks good. Silver would be too like the engine head and other darkish bits in the begine bay.

How do you get the head that clean?

'98 Fiat Marea Weekend ELX (1.8 16v).
- Kenwood MP3 head unit
- De-Restricted standard air box
- NGK VX Platinum plugs (BKR7EVX)

I'll take some more shots in the morning.

Took the spark plug cover off and set to it with a scrubbing brush and a piece of wet n dry. Rest of head was a hand held wire brush, (small), and the same bit of wet n dry.

They are still very rough though. Dont know if I should attack them with a power tool or not. One of the spark plug cover screws was stripped, I think the 3rd party garage I got it from thought they had to torque them down like the head bolts. :( Might try a bit of plastic metal and re-tap it.

Didn't want to do too much blue until I am happy it's right. Air inlet and air box might be next. Then some blue heatshrink on looms and pipes. Thought I'd pick out the FIAT 20V on the head in blue and white.

Got more additives than fuel in my tank.
