The fuel pipe attached to the bulkhead behind the carburettor has split the other side of the connector. Need to trace where it goes. Also where is the fuel filter?
Thanks in anticipation.

What car.. what year..what engine

With a carburettor its pretty old..and the filter will be UNDER the car

Modern FIATs have a filter built into the fuel pump

Diesels have a big filter on the bulkhead

Thanks for your reply.
Have not found anything relevant yet.
Would a photo help?

1. No Carbs on our cars - fuel injected
2. Fuel filter is part of the fuel pump and not replaced
3. There are two pipes on the 1.2GP that are a problem:
- a big pipe that crosses the top of the engine under the airbox which rots and gives an engine oil smell. Fiat do an upgraded part
- a small pipe that's also attached at one end to the airbox, the other should be attached to the manifold down the back of the engine just behind the rocker cover but tends to rot and/or break off. This can be replaced by a standard sized piece of silicone pipe (sorry can't remember the exact dimensions off the top of my head)

Both can be had from ebay (or Fiat) e.g. Link and Link (think the second one is right but can be replaced much cheaper)

Also if you have not done so get the replacement scuttle drain or you'll be in for a new alternator at some point. Have a read here: Link
