Hi all, purchased a Selecta for spares. it was advertised as having a broken gearbox. In fact the selection cable is seized. Haynes manual says undo both ends, and pull it through from the engine side. But it will not budge. Underneath it disappears behind the exhaust heat shield, and inside the car it looks as if it cannot be accessed where it passes through the bulkhead. Has anyone tried and solved this please? regards Richard

never messed with one but i'd just drop the exhaust and heat shield off to access where it passes through, it probably has a mount with a seal thats bolted to the body.

Thanks Blu, that's the conclusion i have reached, as it seems simpler than removing the interior. Of course, I'll find that having removed the heat shield, it's clamped on the inside!
