hi can anyone clarify the timing procedure for the 130tc engine....

I know the two camshafts are timed on the marks on the rocker covers, but what about the crankshaft tdc and auxillary shaft position....thks.

Auxillary shaft timing notch should be 34 degrees to the right (clock wise) of vertical. The notch will then be approximately alighed with the right hand edge of the bolt that the tensioner pivots on (if I remember correctly.

The tdc/timing marks for the crank pulley are on the yellow timing belt cover. However if you look at the top of the gearbox bell housing you will find a rectangular rubber blanking plug. Remove this and you will see timing notches on the edge bell housing window apperature. They should be mark 0 - 5 - 10. You will find a corresponding notch on the edge face of the flywheel. Using the bell house marks is far more accurate then crank pulley ones due to the very much larger radius.
