I have a 126 box on a Fiat 500 and it seems that the way the switch should operate is to be normally closed, ie. when reverse is selected it releases the previously depressed plunger on the switch and in the contacts are made. The switch I have been supplied does the opposite, meaning that I would have a reversing light all the time except when reversing.

I wonder if anyone here has encountered this and can suggest a part number or supplier for the correct switch?

Hi!

I cannot check this on the car at the moment [1] to be 100% sure, but if I remember correctly the switch should be Normally Open as you expected.

The part number is 46575533 or 7545344.

The price in Poland is about £5. [2]

Regards.

[1] I can do it during the weekend.

Ooops, actually I should say Normally Closed like in the parent post, because when not in the reverse the plunger is depressed.
