HI,
Updated my USB with some new songs - all using the same software and in the same format.

Problem is when I select the folder (it said loading or similar first time) it plays only 2 of the songs.

If I try a new USB it again just plays 2 or 3 (different though) songs from the same set.

Is there some kind of internal memory that needs to be overwritten with the new songs or do I need to leave a certain amount of space on the USB? (The second stick only has the 10 songs on so unsure on that theory)

You need to convert the mp3 files, Quick search on google will help you..

They're all MP3s, its just odd that some play and some dont. I did wonder if it was some kind of copy protection. They ones im having issues with are all ripped the same way so im at a loss

I thought about that but tried a new stick instead.... same issue

What about file names? I know mine had issues with long file names. Can't remember what the limit is but try and keep them as short as possible ie. just the track name.

Tried renaming them and no luck... perhaps theres a metatag thats too long #makingthisharder

Could be a metatag, if you download something like mp3tag&rename you can remove all the tags and see if that helps.

How are you organising them on the memory stick, just putting the songs in the root or putting them in folders ?

I have both.
Songs that have been on for years play, and just some of the newer ones despite them being interspersed with others.
I've ripped some other cds so will try them, its some of the ones ive downloaded from youtube recently that arent playing.

I have a really long song name that plays and when ive reduced/renamed the others they wont work.

Really hit and miss ?
