So...doing 70 down a quiet slip of the m6 when my auto slips into neutral! Would of been a very different story if it had been a few hours earlier
It then takes around 30 mins to travel a mile as it can’t find its gears .after 3 times on different diagnostics Fiat think it’s going to cost upwards of £1700 to fix as the solenoid?they think it is a broken part of the gearbox unit.
A gearbox specialist has a look at it and finds a few faults including the selector switch on the brake pedal.
£20 and an awkward fit but seems to of done the job.......although lucky was alive to get it fixed !
Hope this saves ppl a few quid and stuff

What errors are being stored?

No point throwing parts at it without some direction

If they dont see data.. (showing the systems pressure-wear.etc..)
how have they totted up parts and labour to that figure?

Sounds suspect
