Got a warning about Day Running Lights and the passenger side bulb has blown.

On Youtube I saw how to remove the rectangle cover and the circle cover to access the top bulb. Trying to turn 1/4 turn Counter-Clockwise (per Youtube instruction) but can only manage about 1/8 turn !

Even jacked car up & removed tyre to get best access but still cannot rotate more than about 1/8 Counter-Clockwise.

Any advice ?

Use a open ended spanner about 12mm to turn it doesn't go much further than 1/8 though.
When replacing the square cover drill holes in it and the inner guard and cable tie them together

If you take off the front bumper molding you would have more rooms to get access. It is not much more of trouble.

If, the screws come out/the heads intact? I replaced ours with stainless ones

I use a pair of long nose pliers to turn it. I can never get them out with my fingers.

I've found I need to use the "wrong" hand, so my left hand for the nearside one and right for the offside one, to release it then the "right" hand to coax it out of the cluster

Finally got it done and changed both bulbs.

The Manual says to turn 30 Degrees.

I struggled and replaced the left on and then the right one came out effortlessly. Then I could not get the right one to turn 30 Degrees to tighten. A few days later I came back and put a smudge of Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) on the rim and Hey Presto the bulb was in !

Thanks for crucial tip about using the Open Ended Spanner - that was a true Winner !
