Hi all. I have a 54 plate 1.9 jtd stilo estate that's been flagging up the old brake lamp failure fault. Now if I turn the lights on and start it or press the brake pedal and start sometimes it gives CHECK OK and it behaves. Now one thing that's certain to happen is if it gives an oil level check the fault doesn't come up but if no oil level check is displayed then the fail warning and triangle light come on. It also has a preheat fault but a glow plug isn't giving a reading on the old multimeter so hopefully it's just that. Any ideas if the oil sensor is somehow linked into the brake lamp warning or could it be a crappy earth that they share, although nothing else is at fault. All bulbs, connections are good. It's fitted with a twin electric towbar but they all seem fine. Cheers in advance
