Does anybody know or had to deal with their fiat stalling while going down the road. The code that was showing 1608. We have changed the ignition coil but continue to stall out after going down the road about 1000 feet. In order to get the car back home we have to jump it. Then we were told to do an oil change but I doubt that is going to fix the problem. My husband is very frustrated. Please let us know if anyone out there has had this problem and what did they have to do to fix it.

Does the engine stall when in neutral at the lights say, or does it just "cut out" and glide to a halt?

I believe a 1608 is related to an engine Control ECU error. You need some proper diagnostics I think.

My 2013 did that. There was a problem where a wiring harness was too tight and stretched after turning corners a few months after getting it. Harness was replaced with a longer one
