Got a test drive in the new Spider last weekend.

Looks better in the flesh...well the front looks better but still not keen on the rear. Could have been more radical.
Interior...feels very claustrophobic. Dash, centre consol, tunnel, and doors seem high. Could only just get the seat back far enough for me.
On the road...Good power delivery, but little power down low (lag). 140bhp just enough, but should have been more.
Brakes...good.
Handling...Turn in very good, felt a bit jittery at rear when pushed. (maybe me not used to modern rigid chassis)

Overall I was left wanting. I could have been persuaded to leave the classics behind, but honestly don't think it's any better than the original.
