Can anyone tell me for sure... On the 2002 1.2 stilo does the CV come away from the drive shaft or is it all one unit?

not for sure but driveshafts held onto cv joint with circlip in my experience did boots on ma cinq (rip)

Cheers guys. Its a spring clip that sits in a groove on the splines. When you pop the CV over it it springs out holding it in place. However, who last did mine managed to brake the fecking thing and only replaced half. I had that car down into the Mosel Valley in Germany. I don't mind the odd bosh job but when its a safety issue I have no time for arseholes. Lucky I had a clip from a 306 CV that I never used. Slightly to large but slowly managed to crush it down and still round and its all good. Got the exhaust fitted also so nice and quiet again
