Alot of people will tell u its better for you to put the sporting engine loom in ..

you will need the engine+ Gbox , ancilleries , exhust ect

ok thanks mate thinking of putting punto 60 tb on the 899 for a while as its supposed to increase power and put the induction kit on it too would this give extra power and would it effect the emmisions in anyway

yus make sure you measure the butterfly to make sure is 32mm rather than 30mm.

so the new one should be 32mm and mine should be 30mm is this right and would the top of my old one fit onto the new one (the plastic air filter thing)

yes and yes everything is the exact same.

Another person to PM Carig is David (Rallycinq), as he's done the conversion from 899cc to 1108cc.

you can do the 1.1 conversion but its made easier with a sporting incar, and engine loom, then its plug and play. with a 899 the engine loom needs to be fabricated or you have to swap it all out for sporting gear... its cheaper to do it from a 899 but easier on a sporting.


tbh, sportings are the future as you can 8v them straight away. 16v them quite easily and mod them beyond.... all of which is harder with a 899 as a starter.
