Doze anybody know what’s causing this

A short? Water getting in somewhere, bad earth? Any other starting or running problems? Failing any of those it’s a replacement from eBay.

Had it apart no sines of water
Sum times it works fine sum times like pick

Does the date and time stay correct?

Could well be an earth problem then. Try taking out the battery and tray and giving the two earth connections on the top nearside chassis rail a clean.

Out of interest have you replaced any bulbs recently especially at the front?

No not replaced any bulbs

When I signal right the ABS warning and eng temperature lights flashes with the indicator light

Then that’s definately a faulty speedo. Very common. Pick one up on eBay, there are always loads. Just make sure the mileage on the one you buy is lower than your car. You could always hold out for a reasonable price on a colour lcd one instead. I always buy them when they’re cheap, at the moment there all over £200. Much nicer though and easy to change.

I just wondered as several people "seem" to have reported the issue after replacing bulbs making me think was it a earthing issue once the cable/holder/bulb has been disturbed, but guess not.

That’s what I thought trouble is it’s a low mileage every thing I’ve seen so far is double the mileage .
Will keep looking ?

Another option might be to have the existing one repaired; there are plenty of ads on the 'net, though none that I have any personal experience of.

I do have a colour lcd one with hardly any miles on it. Only 2,340. I was saving it for a worthy car but I would be willing to sell it but want £200 if you’re interested. I will donate £10 of that to the forum.

Hi, I’m new to this forum and reading through this post, probably a little late since this was in 2018 but do you still have this lcd speedometer? I wouldn’t think so but worth a try.

Long gone I’m afraid.

You can get them on eBay .. the prices vary... there are a few pointers to know before you buy though if you don’t know already that is! Mileage ... facelift or pre facelift if you don’t know .. ask we are here to help!
