Hello
I just stumbled across this club and like the look of it.
As an introduction, I own a 1986 2.0 petrol Mk1 Ducato motorhome with Hobby 600 coachwork. It my pride and joy but also my nemisis. It takes all my time and money but I suppose Im just addicted.
I have got a lot of experience and info on the Mk1 that may prove useful to others.
I do have one small problem that's irritating me though.
My van has a Weber carb fitted and used to run perfectly. My problem now is that after sitting for a few days, it takes ages of cranking to get it to start. Otherwise it starts immediately. It's obviously a fuel problem. The carb is ememptying itself and has to be fed from the tank again. I have changed the fuel line. Fitted a new pump and filter. Fitted a non return valve but the problem remains. Would anyone have an idea of what the problem is? I don't want to fit an electric pump.
Cheers
Andrew.
