Hi all,
I have a brand new Tipo HB 2018 1.4 95hp (Lounge package) with 7" Uconnect.
There are several issues I have noticed.

1. When connecting my iPhone8 with USB CarPlay is not being recognized. I have checked on Apple site also it says Fiat Tipo 2018 Carplay is supported. I have the latest iOS installed.

2. I wanted to perform an SW update on Uconnect but my VID is not being recognized as a valid one. Tried multiple OSes, browsers, smallcaps, largecaps nothing.

Told my dealer, they said an update should come soon which would enable CarPlay in Serbia. Anybody has an information on that ?

2018 uconnect 7", same problem with Android auto in Israel.

I have 2019 tipo lounge 120hp and iphone 7+.....no issues at all....just plug in with cable worked straight away.....I take it you are using genuine Apple cable?

I'm using a genuine Samsung cable for my Android.
I think I found the solution on clubtipo.eu.

I have an Android handset and had to download Android Auto and the UConnect Live app to my phone, but then it worked fine on my 2018 Tipo with 7" UConnect touchscreen. I don't use it very often though as I don't like having to connect with a cable, so usually just use bluetooth and stream Spotify like that.
