my seicento had a problem with the heating, the steel cable that moved by the wheel was bent and did not fit into the sheath.
I have disassembled cover (3 screws) and then I have reached another small screw that holds the cable sleeve.
thus I have the stretched cable giving heat to return to give the straight form. A lot of oil and it seems to come back in its place







I have put a cable on the other side of the wheel, it seems to be more direct and it will be harder to bend again.

tested on the road and I already have heating, I think the way to prevent breakdowns is good lubrication of the cable.

I have opened mine, all cables have ok movement, all in place, but heating is still on. I must have problem from the other side inside engine compartment. :/

The problem could be on the other side of the cable. you have to look for a scheme and see where it is.

Exactly, now in cold position, temperate air. I think that before the cable was damaged, it was already happening (two or three years ago) I suppose if I stretched the cable by hand, it would be cold as before.

I have disassembled and stretched the cable again and now if the cold natural air comes out. It is problem of cable entry and exit butt.

I hope that you put some oil inside cable tube, to lubricate. I will try to do the same. I am going on weekend roadtrip.

Yes, I put silicone in spray. It is not a car for daily use, so it is not much inconvenience either.
