Why are the GPs so bad in dealing with crosswinds?
I appreciate it has a broad side area..and is relatively light..

but the only thing that appeared to be having as much trouble in yesterdays stormy M4 commute was a panel van.. even the HGVs were holding a line better.

A friend had a 6 month old corsa as a courtesy car..and was SHOCKED at how apalling it was in gusty conditions.

Anybody found similar?

Nope, I've had my Grande nearly 4 and a half years, and never found its direction of travel influenced by wind.

My Punto Evo GP gets blown all over in strong wind on the motorway, its as though there’s someone grabbing the steering wheel!

I noticed it on my old grande but never notice it on the EVO, Maybe its a suspension thing.

The heavy diesel engine and hard suspension setup of the EVO make it less likely to wobble ??

It can't just be the cross section of the car, our Mini Countryman (F60) is a huge slab sided thing and that drives beautifully even in very strong winds it seems solid and steady.

The TA is awful.
The older 1.3 mj doesnt seem as bad.

But.. or course the TA Has had an easier life.. so probably just a symptom of its limited development.. general ride and handling is also poor.
