Hi all.

Had the engine warning light come on so took it to a local garage where they said the FAD (DPF) was clogged.
I took it on a long run to try to regen but the problem has not fixed itself and now the car is in limp mode.
I was wondering if it could be the EGR being stuck and making the problem worse?
if so, should i get it cleaned and then block it off?

Any advice?

Get an OBD reader, one like this should do:

And use the multiecuscan tool (free version will do fine) to get the exact error code. In my experience garages don't always tell you the right thing, so good to check yourself.

I think the multiecuscan tool can also force a regen, perhaps the registered version is needed for that.

Not a bad idea to clean the EGR and blank if (with a plate with a small hole), will be doing mine very soon.
